I can't quite remember where I read this, and I shall look. But in an interview Kobyashi?(sp?) said that he would agree to do a MG film, if he can either have some control over the script or get the right person to play Snake. I can't remeber if those are the excact words, but a MG film would be good. Who would you choose to play Snake by the way? A few people mentioned Russel Crowe... (The End would enjoy Hasselhoff though...)

In my opinion, I'd like either Sean Bean, or Russel Crowe to portray the part of Snake.
I'd like to point out that Metal Gear just isn't a normal game with a normal plot and story...it goes beyond that of any other....Thus, should be left up to someone who cna get the job done right.
I'd like to see Hidijo(sp?) and Kobyashi do the script, with a Possible Jerry Bruckhimer and Micheal Bay Producing and Directing it -Look at there work on the movie "The Rock"-, alos, the MGS movie wouldn't be complete without the Composer from the Game -I forgot his name, but he did the Michael Bay films-

Ghehe, Tom Cruise!? With a soundtrack done by limp Bizkit... Ugh..
Meh, If there will be a movie, I just hope it won't be like Mission Imposible. Man that would be... dissapointing.

a MG movie would be..."hard" to do (to do it right) the games are just to long. i really lke the idea...but i think the movie will end up being as good as we all think it would be.

Well, Kojima doesn't want the movies to be based off an actual game, he wants the story to be original. IGN has an article stating that, I think it was IGN atleast. So there shouldn't be any worry about the games being too long because the movie shouldn't actually be based of one of the games.

I would love to see a continuation off Snake Eater, that leads up to the creation of Solid, and Liquid...that would be awesome.

Harry-Gregson Willams is the Composer.
It's basiclly set in stone the guy that's made the cutcenes in Twin Snakes is doing the MGS movie. (I know it's a rumor but I belive it.) I don't think anyone else could do a MGS movie but him. He made Snake a Legend.

I could see Sean bean in the film, but not as Solid. Liquid perhaps though. I guess it all comes down to if it will be a game adaptation (notice that is rarely if ever done?) or an original tale. The characters are too good though to not be used. Ocelot especially.
One idea could be a sequel to the MGS story but in movie form, but then thats a hell of alot of backstory to reveal, not that they ever have trouble doing that in the games.
it will probably be something stand alone, which may follow someone named Snake on an espionage mission. They may never touch the whole Big boss clone thing.

Wouldn't Hugh Jackman play a good Snake? He does have the raspy voise and sorta looks like him (More than Crowe, IMO).

No, Kurt Russell ... anyone ? 'Escape from Shadow Moses' ... I do think Jackman is a better choice then Crowe. Can't really see Crowe as the lead in a movie like this.
However will MGS become a movie in the future ? Yes. Any good ? No. Sure, I'm pre-judging something I know nothing about, but hey ! it won't ... no, it can't be any good. Not even close to the original PS game.
I just can't see them making it more then just another JB & MB action flick. The only thing solid in the movie would be the action. Not like the games.

What about Hugh Jackman as Solid and James Masters (the guy from Buffy I think) as Liquid?
DEFINITELY not Russel Crowe.

Sean bean could do a good Liquid I think.
Manji does have a point though. MGS is all about the Stealth and Espionage. How do you portray that though into film without it being boring? I dont think it would play as big a role, which leaves action to slip in and lay its eggs.
