I have seen a thread just like this at reH, but I decided to start one here. What did you think of the game, story, characters, gameplay. I thought it was great. The story was good, characters were awsome, gameplay was very good. This is just my opinion on the game, what's yours?

I'm yet to play the game but I was just wondering in your opinion, has this game got a faster pace to it than the previous two?
I found MGS: substance to drag on quite a bit and I personally found no replay value in it.

Im not sure if I found Snake Eater to be faster paced or not. It was a little slower going without the Soliton Radar, but that added to the challenge I found. The CQC made up for it though...in fact if you can master the CQC, you can get by pretty easily.
I loved the Cobra unit, some of the best boss battles to date, much better than Dead Cell in MGS2. The story was not too mind boggling like MGS2, but it still had some good twists and turns, and some expected of course. The game also brings up new questions, surprise surprise, so hopefully more MGS titles will advance on what Snake Eater brought to surface.

CQC....is a fighting technique similar to hand to hand combat -well, the same thing-. I learned something similar to it in the USMC.....stands for Close Quarter Combat...
You use you own fighting skills to disarm, and even kill the enemy, or Enemies in close proximity to yourself.
Its a quiet usuful tool when used properly

The MGS3 special edition guide thing I picked up has shots and interview with the man they had help create the CQC and motion capturing, so it is indeed all based on real forms of combat.
Yes, you too can learn CQC! Call now, only 5 easy payments of 19.95 a month!

Snake Eater was great fun, though I never actually figured out how to master CQC, infact, I rather sucked at it, lol. Liked Ocelot cheering for Snake during the Vulgin fight.

MGS3 is by far, the best game I've ever played. It has a very cunning storyline, awesome characters, and a sub-plot which is very emotional.
10/10 in my book, which very rare.

it was amazing, i loved mgs1 and 2...but after playing this, i honest to god cant stand the others they just can't even come anywhere close I especially love the detail for every possible outcome of activity, such as if u kill ocelot, it doesn't jsut loop it makes you lose, but it doesn't just say snake is dead, it even says "ocelot is dead" its amazing

Thats Koijima for you...every little detail was thought about I find in the metal gear games.
Has anyone downloaded any of the alternate camos? Anything interesting?
Also, has anyone gotten the special ones from getting a stamina depletion win on the bosses?
